E Z Tomato Cage Facts: The 59” E Z Tomato Cage legs are made of galvanized tubular steel with six high tensile wire hoop supports. Using a 24” 3 wire hoop extension will give you a total of nine hoop supports. The legs of the E Z Tomato Cages are 11/16” in diameter that stabilize the cage in place with a total surface area of 58 sq. inches in contact with soil when inserted into the ground at a depth of 9 inches. Your soil should be tilled and prepared prior to inserting the cage into the soil. Push legs into the soil about 8 to 10 inches, use a rubber mallet if needed.
